SPINACH!




Spinach - Puree
Stage 4 (10-12) months+


1. Thoroughly cleanse fresh spinach and pick out damaged leaves
2. Steam in a pot with a steamer basket insert (water should just peek through the holes of the basket).
3. Leaves will shrink and appear wilted when done.
(DO NOT USE COOKING WATER TO PUREE.)
4. Drain and puree spinach in blender or food processor,
5. Add fresh water until mixture is of the desired consistency.

Humm so Spinach did NOT go over so well the first time I offered it, BUT I quickly learned the trick to it.... I added applesauce! So it was 1/2 Spinach to 1/2 applesauce and as time goes on I have been able to lessen the amount of applesauce that I add so that it is more spinach. Eventually it will only be SPINACH...yummy!
